Who We Are
The Islamic Cultural Center of Roussillon was originally an idea that germinated in the minds of a few Muslim brothers who share love and fraternity between each other.
Our brothers and sisters worked very hard in the shadows to achieve this great project.
The Islamic Cultural Center of Roussillon has worked tirelessly for 13 years to see the Muslim community flourish in the Roussillon region.
Over the years, CCIR has raised awareness and provided services relating to many issues of concern in our community, such as the role of women, contribution to society, communication with youth and adolescents, interfaith relations , civil and political engagement and many more.
Did You Know ?
What was the very first thing Rasul Allah ﷺ did when he set foot in Madinah?
He built a masjid, by physically contributing with his own blessed hands.
What you see today in Madinah, is the fruit of that vision, foresight, and effort. The masjid has served as a beacon of light for Muslims for 1400+ years.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ(saw) said:
“Whoever removes hardship for a believer in this world, Allah will remove hardship from him on the Day of Judgment.”
Our Burden
The town of Delson, Quebec and its neighbouring area doesn’t have an Islamic Center.
The Musalla (place of prayer) is so small that it gets very difficult to accommodate the growing demand of its Muslim community. It does not have enough space for all the muslims who want to join every month.
It’s very expensive these days for any community to build their own Islamic center without outside help.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ(saw) said:
“Whoever builds a mosque intending Allah's pleasure, Allah would build for him a similar home in Paradise.”

We have already purchased a 100 year old church on the 22nd of November 2022 for 355,000.00$ and can convert it into a masjid ALREADY.
It is covered by the status of "place of worship" and only needs our collective efforts to transform it into the future islamic center of the town of Delson.
